Elaine is a health development consultant with over four years experience of working as an independent practitioner, undertaking a variety of projects across the UK. She has an NHS senior management background with extensive knowledge of all sectors (primary, acute, mental health and public health) and experience of local government. Since 2000, Elaine has worked with national, regional and local agencies on health related projects, including health impact assessments.
The consultancy provides services primarily to the health and local government sectors, including research and reports, support and advice on organisational and partnership development, lectures, talks and articles on public health themes, organisation and facilitation of conferences and events, mentoring and coaching.
Key work areas have been in public health, particularly tobacco control, migrant health and older people plus a range of other projects (fuel poverty, corporate social responsibility). Projects have varied in length from small pieces to major reviews, plans and implementation work over sustained periods. Where appropriate, projects can be completed with other consultants with complementary skills and experience.
